Scott Kriete
Chief Executive Officer
Scott has more than 20 years of experience working with both private sector and nonprofit organizations in fiscal management, strategic planning, grants management, audit and organizational budgets. He is deeply committed to help nonprofits streamline operations and use data to make informed decisions.
Prior to founding NFO, Scott worked in the New York office of the international accounting firm, BDO. As the Senior Manager of Nonprofit Outsourced Accounting, Scott led teams of accountanting managers that provided services from transactional to strategic financial outsourcing to nonprofits ranging in budget size from $3-30M.
Before joining BDO, Scott worked in financial leadership roles within nonprofits. Prior to BDO, Scott was the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Guardian Angel Settlement Association. In that role, Scott oversaw creating and analyzing financial statements, budgets, federal grant reporting, audit (including Single Audit), facilities, HR and a New Markets Tax Credit project.
Scott also worked as the Business Manager of YouthBridge Community Foundation where he provided financial reporting, grant administration and worked closely with other nonprofits to establish endowments.
Prior to his career in nonprofits, Scott worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car in accounting and financials analyst roles.
Scott holds a degree in Accounting from The University of Missouri-St. Louis and holds the Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) designation. Scott is also an avid swimmer and is always looking for a new place to explore in his travels.
